Basic Info
Name:Faith Lehane
Birthdate:1979-11-09
Website:Horrorwoodland
Bio
Character Name: Faith Lehane

Character Series: TV Show: Buffy The Vampire Slayer ( Seasons 3, 4 & 7 )

Character Appearance: About 5 foot 6, 109 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes, vacant expression. Tribal tattoo on the right arm ( upper ), affinity for black leather and dark make up.

Character Personality: Faith is a cranky and recklass bottomless food pit with an unusual amount of self control for someone who isn't too good at exorcising it. She's got more of a male disposition than the other female characters on BtVS, displaying casual arrogance and overt sexuality that would rival that of Spike or Angelus. She's impulsive, opting to bypass the threat of common sense in any given situation by pouncing on the first idea to waft through her head. She's become more pious in recent years as she's chased atonement, even her sexuality's been toned down a few notches. Faith is witty, charismatic, and a hell of a lot of fun to watch.

Character History: Faith is the second slayer to follow Buffy, called after Kendra was murdered by Drusilla in season two ( Becoming Part One ). She was, more or less, chased into Sunnydale in season 3 by a vampire named Kakistos, whom she'd wounded after he killed her watcher.

Over the course of the next few episodes, Faith and Buffy began to get closer, spending more and more time together. Buffy even began taking on some of Faith's tamer traits, she even dressed the part. In the episode "Bad Girls", Buffy and Faith's relationship is becoming reckless. During a double-slayer slayfest, Faith accidentally stakes Alan Finch, Sunnydale's Deputy Mayor.

Faith pressured Buffy to remain silent, apparently harder for Buffy in this case than it usually is, and tried in vain to dispose of Alan's body only to have it come back to haunt her later when police found him and started a man hunt for his killer. Faith was quickly found out or, more accurately, ratted out and found herself in chains in Angel's mansion.

Angel's bad cop/weird cop routine seemed to be getting somewhere with Faith when Wesley ( Price, Faith's watcher ) managed to bone up Operation Rescue Faith by capturing her with intent to hand her over the The Watcher's Council. She escaped. Faith soon turned her back on the Scooby Gang completely and became Mayor Wilkins right hand henchwoman and pseudo-daughter, a role that would take Faith out of the game and land her in a coma by the end of the season.

In season 4, Faith miraculously woke up and pays Buffy some semi-deserved vengeance. She managed to switch bodies with Buffy, fool her friends, land Buffy in a Watcher's Council lock-up that was meant for her, and sleep with Buffy's then boyfriend, the cornfed Riley Finn, all before Buffy's friends can manage to switch their bodies back.

After being switched back, Faith dodged the Sunnydale police and leaves bound for L.A., Odin knows why. She beat up a stranger and took his apartment, tortured Wesley and hooked up with Wolfram & Hart as a paid assassin to take Angel out of the game when, to all of our surprise, some of Angel's big, fat wisdom managed to sink in and save Faith from herself - but not, as it turns out, from Buffy. Buffy had followed Faith to L.A. to wreak a little of her own vengeance on her former friend only to find that Faith was being protected by her ex. Well, as you can imagine, this didn't sit too well with Buffy.

At this point, Buffy was the least of Faith's worries due to the Watcher's Council sending their Hilander-esque thugs to bring Faith in. By the end of the episode Faith had confessed to the L.A.P.D. and accepted not only a prison sentence, but a journey of atonement.

We didn't see Faith again until season 4 of Angel, when Wesley broke her out of jail to help reign in Angelus by any means necessary, terms Faith refused to accept. Faith put her life on the line, shooting herself up with poison and going into yet another coma and sharing dreamspace with Angel to help him battle his inner demons. She survived and Angelus was corked back up in the proverbial bottle.

Faith left L.A. to help Buffy fight The First Evil in season 7 of BtVS.
